During the procedure, the ‘threads’ are inserted under the surface of the skin into the sub-dermis.
These tiny threads, which have tiny barbs, anchor to the skin, keeping it in place as the threads are lifted, to create a smoother and tighter appearance.
Made from PDO (Polydioxanone), the threads also stimulate a collagen production response over time to add further firmness.

Our threads are made from a special substance called PDO (polydioxanone). This substance has been used in the medical field for many years in suture thread, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, drug delivery, cardiovascular applications, and tissue engineering. It’s highly compatible with the body making negative reactions or allergy unlikely.
Polydioxanone helps to stimulate the body’s natural collagen production processes, giving the skin back its strength and elasticity.

Insertion of the threads is not normally painful, but we use a numbing agent as a precaution. You will feel sensitivity and tenderness in the area for 24 hours or so after the treatment.
You are likely to see some immediate results, but it takes 2-4 weeks to see final results of the immediate lift. As Collagen production continues to be stimulated, there are ongoing improvements over the next couple of months.
The lifting effect reaches a peak after six months and the effects of the treatment continue to last for 12-18 months.
Your face is likely to feel sore, a little swollen and bruised for about 1 week. Side effects and risks are rare and minimal, such as: an allergic reaction to the anaesthetic, risk of mild infection.
